Not one of all the purple host

Who took the flag today

Can tell the definition

So clear of victory

As he defeated- dying -

On whose forbidden ear

Those who have always failed, can only understand the meaning of success to its best.

Not even the General of the victorious army can tell the definition of victory as clearly as a dying soldier of the defeated army, whose heart is filled with agony by hearing the bands of celebrations of the victors.
