| Right Worshipful Brother M. C. Pandey |
On 23 June 2024, Sunday, Right
Worshipful Brother Mohan Chandra Pandey left us for heavenly abode.
We, the brothers of Lodge Kumaon No. 148, remembers him with a very heavy heart
and tears in our eyes. He was a die heart Freemason and the Master of Craft.
He was a Senior Advocate in the High Court of Uttarakhand and Additional
Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. In court his demeanour was that
of an English gentleman. Always sober and serene in his appearance and
talks.
I remember him as a friend, philosopher and guide. We were very fond of each
other. Whenever we used to meet, he always greeted me with a smile and used to
say, " haan Kartikey, kaise ho and how is Pallavi, papa kaise
hain" We often used to discuss the matters related to Freemasonry
and general affairs of the governance in the State.
We, the people of Nainital have lost a vocal citizen from amongst us. He was
very active in raising the pertinent issues of the Boat House Club.
We will no more see a gentleman walking every evening from Tallital to Boat
House Club. And the corner outside the bar room in the club shall miss the
presence of our beloved Mohan Chandra Pandey.
I am at loss of words to write any further about him. It feels like a father
figure has left me for always.
May He Rest In Peace.
Kartikey

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched — they must be felt with the heart like friends. Friends are for forever.
