An
intellectual giant visited the High Court Bar conference hall. After a long
dull in the academic atmosphere of Nainital, finally there came a charge.
Shakti,
Saurabh and Chandrashekhar along with all team are worthy of greatest applauds
for convincing Dr. Aditya Sondhi, Senior Advocate to come to Nainital and
deliver his lecture.
Although the theme
of the lecture was about the writ jurisdiction in constitutional courts. However
along with the academic content, the greatest leaning for the young lawyers
like us was about the honesty and fairness of advocates in court. The remarkable
lesson will be remembered that “a lawyer must earn such faith and honest
name that a judge may not need to turn pages to verify facts”
After hearing him once again, I remember and relate so much his words that “today, early in the
carrier a counsel must decide weather he wants to go to bench or remain at the
bar.”
Nainital Bar
was honored to hear one the most courageous yet humble counsel, which surely is
a rarest of rare bread today. Love and simplicity of Mr. Sondhi shall be long
remembered by the lawyers of Nainital.
