Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,

Because their words had forked no lightening, they

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright

Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

Rage; rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,

And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

Rage; rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,

Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage; rage against the dying of the light.

                                                 - Dylan Thomas (1914-1953)

Do not be gentle to death. Whether or not to die, is not a choice but how we will embrace it, is our choice.

Death is inevitable. Everyone dies. Death cannot be avoided but it can be challenged. Do not accept death passively rather fight bravely against death. It is the final time we can decide something. It’s the last time we can choose. So choose to fight.

Death is the final clarification to something that people too often forget-that life is precious and worth fighting for. Old age should be lived more passionately like fire and enjoyed before we perform our last mortal act that is death. How will we face the inevitable defines us.

‘Wise men’ know that death is right still they fight against it as they know that there is still more lightening to be done.

‘Good men’ see the last wave as bright, still they fight against it as they know that there are still some small deeds remain to be done which can make difference.

‘Wild men’ who spent all their life in joyous and reckless way, fight against it as they realize and regret about the frivolous way, they spent their time on Earth.

‘Grave men’ who lived the serious life ultimately realize that all joy is inside you as even those who have lost their sight can, like meteors, be full of light and happiness with internal inspiration.

All my loved ones, curse me or bless me, but do not surrender to death without the fight. Live life full with passion. When you have passion for living then only you can challenge death, do not be meek in front of death.
